Ngong Ping 360

In the midst of studying for my test in 2 days, I have signed up for an e-newsletter for Ngong Ping 360.

http://www.np360.com.hk/html/eng/front/index.asp

After signing up for this newsletter, they’ll be sending me an email with a 10% discount coupon within.

This should come in useful, and I’ll recommend this to everyone else out there too.

Here’s the link for the short survey before we get to the goodies.

Mar 22, 2010 Currency Exchange rates

Probably one of the better times this year to change some currency

Best rates this month was about 5.57 on Mar 17

Today’s rates go for about 5.52 HKD per SGD.

Will be keeping a watch.

Generally, as a guide, anything above 5.5HKD to 1SGD would be decent.

We’ll keep a close watch on the Hong Kong dollar as the days creep closer to our flight.

This blog is now live and available for public viewing.

Not many posts for now, but there will (hopefully) be a build-up to the end of the Hong Kong trip.

We hope to do up a simple itinerary, for friends and random visitors off the web, visiting Hong Kong for the first time, just as we are now.

With an experienced guide, this blog will bring you the best eateries, shopping deals and more information.Should anyone have any burning questions, please feel free to leave a comment, and maybe we’ll be able to provide a satisfactory reply.

Thank you in advance for all the support!

It’s a happy day!

Instead of going with $508 per pax on Singapore Airlines, we’ve decided to fore-go  3.5 hours of comfort and go back to the black, leathery comfort of Jetstar’s seats.

We snatched up the tickets today at S$317 per pax today. That’s cash savings of almost S$200. Enough to set aside some money for some spending while we’re there.

I just noticed a mistake. We originally planned for 6d5n in Hong Kong, from 14th-19th November.

We decided to change the dates to one week earlier instead.Guess what we ended up with?

11th-17th November 2009 = 7D6N.

I’m not exactly sure if its FML or yay now. But I’m feeling pretty good about it right now. 😀

SQ air tickets

As of today, Singapore Airlines offers return tickets to HKG for 1524SGD for 3 pax.

that averages out to be about $508 per person. Not bad. Might take this offer up before it swells up again.

When are we booking the hotel?

Royal Plaza Hotel, Hong Kong

We’ve decided the hotel to put up at during our November getaway this year end.

Royal Plaza Hotel. Its 5 star, but the website is offering us a really irresistable rate.

Let’s get it before its too late!

www.royalplaza.com.hk/

It looks really decent, from what I can see in the website. I hope it offers just as much.

Accomodation booking in less than a month. I hope we can really make it!
